So guys you all know that this guild is never going to ask you to give your gold or items up for the sake of the guild, but with that being said we should think of a few more ways to get people motivated to contribute if we want to compete with some of the bigger merchant guilds for good trader locations. I really like this weekly lotto idea that we've got going on. A lot of you guys here on the forums I know already donate quite a bit to the bank so here was one idea I had. If we could get some kind of rotation going during the week where we get a couple people together who are going to go XP grinding or even loot grinding like Rhiino has done, we could all agree in the group that any money made from the grinding time will be straight additions to the bank. We have so many guildies grinding these spots already for levels that if 3-4 people took an hour or two each night from their grind and donated all gold made (from drops and/or selling loot) to the bank we would have a really large chunk added by Sunday nights. I realize this would take some organization, but it could be extremely beneficial to the bank. Even if each group member comes away with 5,000 gold after an hour of grinding, that's 20k if there's four people contributing from the post-grind. If we did this for like an hour each night we could potentially start putting in the big bids we need to secure some of the higher level traders. Especially during weeks like this when we don't have a trader, we should almost be doubling the bank from Monday to Sunday if we don't have a trader. Use the times we don't have traders to beef up the bank Yano?! Let me know what you guys think or if you have any other ideas for boosting the bank funds

Maybe even some guild events of some sort that could promote bank building. If a few people lead a group through a delve run or something for a entire zone we could do the same thing.
"Hey guys we are willing to take an entire group through the delves in The Rift as long as we agree that any extra gold picked up while doing the delves gets contributed to the bank"
In this way, we can help other guildies while also helping boost the bank funds at the same time. Similar ideas like this would be great to add into our weekly rotation of events. I would much rather help out others and get contributions that way than ask people to straight give up their gold. Let's give them something out of the deal so it's fair exchange. We help the guildies and they help the guild bank in return. A form of "Bank Grinding" if you will lol

I'm not personally big on grinding although I know it is effective. I do enjoy helping lower level players get thru dungeons and could see offering a form of 'guide service' (including firepower) to make some money.
Events like Hide and Seek could have a small entry fee too. If people know the money goes to get us a decent trader then most of them won't mind.
We also need to encourage people to tip when they get provisions or gear crafted by you guys. That's a great service that our officers provide to members and a full set f Seducer armor should be worth something.

100% agreed ^^^
We need to always make sure newer members know that any time we're discussing making gold it will always be for the guild bank. Most the regulars understand this concept already, but you're definitely right about tipping and even the hide n seek fee wouldn't be a bad idea. I understand not everyone likes the grind, but I figured if we were killing two birds with one stone in the sense of having a small group grind for an hour and put all gold made in that hour into the bank it wouldn't be too bad. Regardless we will make sure to keep telling guildies about tipping their crafters and provisioners and maybe like a 1,000g entry fee for hide n seek wouldn't be bad and it would all go into the guild bank of course.
Grinding is definitely the fastest way to get quick gold, but I would love to have a few other ideas to implement aside from grinding to earn some more gold for the guild bank. We could even do a "Guild Dump Day" where one day out of the week everyone puts there unnecessary gear/sellable items into the bank and officers can collect and sell it all in bulk to merchant for the bank funds. Just an idea lol. Brainstorming over here at work haha.

Well we could always beef up the lotto to get people to want to donate more.. Because money is good, but hard to obtain items may be what some people really want. For instance, we could throw in like 5 nirncrux into the pot or something else along those lines. I would be happy to grind craglorn for a couple hours to get a nirncrux to donate.

I will think of some more ideas whilst I work today. I have a pretty mindless job

Haha I understand the feels Rhiino! I'm actually at home now working on some school stuff since there's not much happening for me at work (I live across the street from work). That could definitely be interesting to add items into the pot, but for Del's sake and sanity it might be better to have a separate items pot or something along those lines so he doesn't get super overwhelmed lol. I have thought about doing a nirncrux donate day as well. Or I guess if I'm thinking about what your trying to say is that we add a potent and/or fortified crux into the pot before anybody actually puts in their tickets in for the week to make people want that pot more. I see what your saying. That's not a bad idea. People would be more willing to buy max 10/10 tickets for 2,000g a piece if they know there's a couple nirncrux up for grabs in the pot. Could also add Perfect Roe, Dwemer scraps or frames etc etc.

Correct. I have thought myself that it could get overwhelming but what if Some trusted officers could be designated as guild treasurers to assist in handling these things. I know it's not really my place to be suggesting this, but whatevs it's just a game. What someone could do is just make a dummy character that collects all the gold for the weeks lotto and whatever else we come up with so it doesn't get lost in transition

You're fine man, don't worry about suggesting ideas! That's what these forums are for (aside from killing boredom lol). That could be a good idea, make a specified mule character that holds the pot and items for the week. Or honestly if we contributed to the mule character extra stuff that he could pile up throughout the course of the game, we could literally just use that character as a "Prize Storage" type deal. Items that are for lotto pots could be stocked piled on that character and then each week we give him the total amount of gold from the ticket sales (taking the 20% for the Guild Bank out on Sunday Nights right before the drawing) and then each week we would have a nice selection of bonus prizes to add to the pot. Dwemer page motif, plus all the gold in the pot that week or it carries over obviously if nobody gets the winning number then the bonus prizes get stacked as well.
EXAMPLE: The Mule character has 100,000 gold on a Sunday night before a drawing and we've decided (last Sunday) that 1 potent nirncrux will be the bonus prize. He is carrying a total of 3 potent nirncrux, 5 fortified nirncrux, 5 Dwemer Frames, & a dwemer motif page for one-handed Axes.
We take the 20,000g for the guild bank out of the total pot (20%). So the pot sits at a total of 80,000g + 1 Potent Nirncrux. We do the drawing and nobody wins. (If there is a split decision with only ONE bonus item in the pot, the item carries over into next week while the gold is divided.)
We then add a fortified Nirncrux on top of the potent currently in the pot for the coming week's lotto. We gain another 100,000g by next Sunday's drawing. So we take another 20,000g for the Guild Bank and the total pot would then be 160,000g + 1 Potent Nirncrux + 1 Fortified Nirncrux. If two people win the lotto with TWO bonus items in the pot, we can go by how many tickets the player purchased to determine the item split (someone who bought TEN tickets gets priority over someone who only bought FIVE). If both players purchased the MAX amount of tickets we then go by date purchased (whoever maxed out their tickets first). Essentially we would only split items if there are the same number of winners (i.e. - THREE bonus items in the pot and only TWO winners means the items carry over. This way it can make the pot extremely valuable if only a single person wins. Much more exciting!)

That sounds perfect to me. We just need to wait until everyone else gives their opinion on it. For now I guess I will think of some more activities.

Or run it like a raffle and have multiple prizes for the tickets. I'm more likely to drop 10k for tickets if I have more than one chance to win. Grand prize gets the pot, but maybe additional drawings with the same numbers for some nirncrux?

That's a good idea and it would really be entertaining to raffle it off on twitch, but the hard part would be getting all the supplies in a weeks time to support it

Yea I suppose we could do more than one drawing for sure. Maybe like three total drawings for prizes with the final one being the Main Pot with the gold and bonus item(s).

Live stream would be fun. And the prize could be as simple as a custom crafted weapon or armor piece for your character. It's just the fun of having a number drawn. Main prize, a couple of secondary prizes, and a few regular drops just for fun. Door prizes are usually junk lol.
Could even do a white elephant. Something that traded hands each week like a goofy helmet the 'winner' has to wear.

I have an idea that pertains to guild involvement and popularity. So what if we set up a weekly twitch stream for the lotto/raffle, maybe a few announcements and something along the lines of guildie of the week. It may be too much, but it's something to build up to. Also the guildie of the week could get a small prize and maybe their own title in the guild ranks for that week. I believe it's a good way to promote guild involvement.
