So, I have the opportunity to purchase an '05 STI with 26k miles and a brand new clutch. Bunch of aftermarket mods bringing the hp to about 470. 2 hood, 2 sets of rims.
But here's the issue.
The clutch is stuck to the floor. Kind of looked online a bit for some of the possibilities of the problem but it's kind of scattered. Have you run into this problem? What are the chances that it's something simple like air in hydrolic system?

1 of 2 things could be the issue from what i've dealt with. Either the cable needs to be replaced because it got stretched from being old and used. or 2, there is a bolt underneath the clutch pedal that you adjust to set the tension and height of the pedal when its not being depressed.

I'll check into those. Worst case scenario, I'm looking at a 1-1.4k repair.
It's an '05 STI with aftermarket 20g turbo, aftermarket clutch, carbon fiber hood, 2 sets of rims plus original hood. Perfect body/interior condition. 25k miles and no accidents. Plus I've known the owner for 16 years.
I got it appraised WITH the damage assuming it needs a whole new clutch and it valued at 25k. I typically avoid foreign but it's my dream car. I figure if I buy it for 10k and put 5 into it, I can't lose. I've got 2 dealers that said they'd give me 20k trade value for it. So it's win/win.
