When grinding mobs, you get no additional xp for killing mobs that are higher level than yourself and you get reduced xp for killing lower level mobs.
In a group of 2 players, you receive no reduction in xp but you kill mobs faster. After a second party member is added, you begin to split the xp. I believe you all get 80% of what you'd normally get.
So solo grinding is fine, but you kill slower. While groups of 2 don't technically allow you to aquire more xp per kill, you kill more mobs per hour. MPH if you will... more MPH = more XPPH XD

How does that work with Vet ranks. If I am VR 10 does it matter whether I am killing VR 5 zombies as opposed to VR 10 ones, since all VR are technically L50?

one thing I always heard through the grape vine was each Vet enemy has a set Exp base you get no matter what level you are, so if a VR1 and VR13 are killing VR1 Dreugh they both would get the same exp from a VR1 enemy its just going to take the VR13 a lot longer with a higher Exp bar.......but don't quote me on that its just what I heard with no Scientific evidence
