Mr Fish swooping in like fucking Batman like, "yea..heard you guys needed someone!" Hell yea man! It's really simple. I prefer to use the ESPN fantasy apps just because they are simple to use. I want to double check with xiArduouss before I actually set the date for the draft but with mr fish involved we could definitely get this started!
So basically it will work like this;
- I'll set up the league and get you guys a link to activate your account/team for ESPN Fantasy and you'll also know the date of the draft at that point too.
- We will have the draft on a specific day and time that hopefully will work for everyone. If we can all be on ESO or even just in an Xbox live party while we do the draft it will be super fun!
The way that ESPN NBA fantasy does its scoring is like this;
- There will be 8-16 teams total
- 2 teams will go head to head each week in 9 categories;
•Points •Assists •Rebounds •Blocks •Steals •3pt Shots Made •Free Throw % •Field Goal % •Turnovers (you want the lower number here)
Based on these 9 categories you will earn totals for the week from each of your active players and those overall totals for the week will determine the winner for THAT week.
- We will each draft a TOTAL of 13 players - Only 10 slots count as ACTIVE when adjusting your 13 man roster
For example, if you have 10 players on your team that all have games on a Monday, you would put those 10 players into your active roster slots for THAT day. Anybody that doesn't have a game you place in the 3 Inactive slots. The next day, those 3 guys might have games, so you can either A) setup your roster daily to make changes for those who have games -or- B) go ahead in the schedule as many days as you want and adjust your roster moves ahead of time so they will automatically switch each day (remember that if a player gets injured you will want to adjust accordingly if you've already set your lineups through the week or more).
I'm looking at the ESPN setup page now and I can make the draft day as soon as Wednesday, September 16th or as late as Tuesday, November 10th or anywhere in between at any time between 11am to 11:45pm EST.
Again I will double check with Delmerik just to make sure hes down for it. Last year we had an issue with a few people dipping out mid-season lol so I'm trying to avoid that this year and im hoping by having only guildies and putting up a 20k buy-in will make everyone at least want to win haha

I will say this, try to open the app up almost daily to swap your bench around, you never know who may be "Questionable" to play and it helps to make those decisions on the fly between your bench players.
I had a good roster last year, but I didn't stay on top of it like I should have + I typically always had 4 injuries and not playing >_<

ESO FANTASY BASKETBALL:
This will be the CONFIRMED list of participants. I have decided on 10pm EST for the time of the draft as this seems to be a good time for everyone to be online and in a party (either Xbox live or ESO group chat). I DO NOT have a date set yet, so don't freak out lol. I will probably have everyone to send me their 20k buy-in through the ESO in-game mail system with the SUBJECT as NBA. I will keep it in my mail until after the draft happens. Once the draft is over I will consolidate the pot into my personal bank and leave it there until payouts are required at the end of the season. If you should happen to dip out before the draft I will gladly bounce back the 20k buy-in.
CONFIRMED PARTICIPANTS:
- The SoCo Kidd - Cap N Saveho - Delmerik - Ghost Warior - RhiinoMiite (Pending) - VundahCarr - Mr Fish - TLS Sickness - xXsk8erXx - YoureNotAlice - OhGlobGoblin - BrewskiRider

Yessir! So I thought the app would also let you rename your team and stuff but i guess you can't do it from the app. If you guys get on a PC, use your browser on your phone (Safari, Chrome etc.) or even use the Internet Explorer app on Xbox One you can google search ESPN Fantasy Basketball and it will be the first link. From the ESPN fantasy basketball home page you should be able to "Join" a league. Search RenReg and you should find our league. The motto for the league is "For the Queen!" In case you want to be sure lol. The password is renreg all lower case, idk if that matters but it's all lower case. Once you've signed up for the league you can then go to "Team Settings" and change your teams name (mine is Team SoCo and I changed the abbreviation for my team to SoCo). Once you've changed your team name and/or logo to your desired name you should then be able to use your ESPN app and once logged in, it will sync our league and your new team to your app if anyone has a lot of issues then I'll walk you through it via ESO group chat try to include your gamertag in your team names please so it's easy to know who we are facing each week

Yea no worries I know it's going to throw a couple people for a loop but once you sign up on ESPN and have an account you just enter the league via browser and change your team name. Then you can do basically everything else from the app since it will be synced with our league

As of right now we have 5 teams claimed and registered.
- SoCo - Glob - Cap - Alice - Sk8er
Make sure to sign up through the ESPN fantasy basketball page via your phone browser or PC and find our league there. Once you've found the league and entered the password, be sure to change your team name to reflect your gamertag in some way that is recognizable. Once you have your team and changed and have registered you will be able to view your team and the league via the ESPN Fantasy Basketball app
Looks like most the other guildies will be in the western conference this season =P (conferences literally don't mean anything so no worries!)

Hopefully these horribly shopped photos will help you guys sign up: Step 1: Open your browser and search "ESPN FANTASY BASKETBALL" the very first link should take you to this home page. You will want to "LOG IN" on the top right corner denoted with the smaller green arrow. Once you've signed up with ESPN or log in using FaceBook, click the join button in the orange box denoted by the LARGE green arrow. Step 2: Once you click the Join button it should take you to a screen similar to the one below. You will want to use the search bar denoted by the green arrow and search RenReg. Make sure you don't put a space between OR after the word and our league should appear at the bottom of the screen denoted by the second green arrow. Click our league to be taken to the password entry screen. Step 3: You should be taken to this verification screen where you will enter the password for the league. Enter the password: renreg (all lower case and one word). You may taken to a dead end screen that says something about the "Road to Glory." Have no fear! That means you've registered to for the league. However your team name will remain "Team 7" or "Team 8" etc etc unless you change it yourself. Which I will show you how to do in the next post.

To change your team name and abbreviation follow these steps; Step 1: If you are logged in to your account and return to the ESPN Fantasy Basketball Home Page you should see your team and the league name on the right hand side of the screen denoted by the green arrow. Click on your team to be taken to the league home page. Step 2: Once you're at the league's home page click the "My Team" tab and then click "Team Settings" denoted by the green arrows. Step 3: Once your in the "Team Settings" you will want to leave the "Location" field as "Team" and then change the "Nickname" field to your gamertag-oriented team name (as you can see I just put SoCo for my team name as well as my abbreviation). You can change your team abbreviation with a max of 4 characters. This should reflect your team name to help identify who you are playing against each week throughout the season. Once you've changed your team name and abbreviation you should now be able to log in to your companion ESPN Fantasy Basketball app and your team and the RenReg league should be synced up with the app itself.
