Hey guys! So I don't know how many of you have ventured over to Dragon Star Arena in upper Craglorn yet, but I'll give you a few notes about it.
Dragon Star is set up like a group dungeon, however, there are a few things that are different;
- The arena DOES NOT scale to your group leader so don't worry about who has lead going in. It will always be set to VR14 enemies no matter what.
- We are 95% sure that dungeon difficulty settings still have an effect, so be careful you don't go into it on Veteran difficulty unless you're prepared.
- There are 10 total levels to get through with 5 stages per level. The first 9 levels will have increasingly difficult adds spawn for four stages while the fifth stage is usually reserved for that levels Boss fight.
- The final level has no check points or stages, instead it is one giant boss fight. The Battlemaster you fight will spawn two bosses from previous levels once he hits a certain percentage of health. He will do this a total of THREE times so make sure you focus adds before continuing to deal damage to the boss otherwise you'll be overwhelmed by bosses you've already fought.
Overall Dragon Star Arena wasn't too terribly difficult. It is more tedious and strategic than anything. With a good group that has solid communication and decent DPS you should have no problems. Make sure you are well-stocked on potions of all kinds as well as soul gems. Provisions should be doled out before the first level and make sure you are recharging your weapons between levels. There is a scamp merchant by the reward chest after clearing each level that can sell you stuff and also repair your armor so DONT FORGET TO TALK TO HIM AFTER EACH LEVEL! There is no traveling out once you're inside unless you want to start all over again
